We are proud to announce a great new community feature: User Blogging

By being a registered user here at Green Options, you now get free access to your own blog. Use it to talk about your solar installation project, your environmentally friendly cleaning tips – anything you want.

How do you start blogging? It’s easy, just use the "Contribute" menu in the upper right corner of the site and start blogging. If you’re still confused, just check out our handy guide.

Remember, all blogs are subject to our Terms of Service. So make sure to give that a quick read.

We are so happy to get people blogging, so what are you waiting for? Register and get blogging!

GO Members are getting a treat, lots of community related upgrades. We’ve launched the User Directory and an updated MyGO.

MyGO has always been around, but never very useful. We’ve changed that. Now you can edit your profile easier, set your preferences, track your content, and soon you’ll be able to post to your blog through MyGO too. We plan to make communicating about being green an easy and fun activity. We hope you’ll keep your eyes peeled for the launch of user blogs in the coming weeks (sooner than you might think).

The User Directory is a listing of all our members. You can look up members, read their profiles, and get a list of current staff writers and editors all from the same page.

This is just a small update to keep you filled in. We’ve got some big things planned, so keep your eyes open, and don’t forget to let us know what you like (or what you don’t) by using our handy contact form.

It’s been a busy week. We launched our redesign and have been busy getting all the kinks ironed out. We really hope you like the new look and hope you stick around to enjoy some of the major improvements we’ll be rolling out soon.

Right now we’re preparing for some major upgrades, which means that for the time being the Green Report will be down for the next week while we get it ready for a totally new look. In the mean time, please check out the blog widget. You can post it on your own site to keep yourself and others up to date on Green Options’ posts.

We love you guys, and that’s why we’re making all the changes around here. The next phase of our redesign will include features such as User Blogs, where you can blog about all things green, and a new and improved user dashboard!

It's the logical next step. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Redesign! Green Options is redesigning our site and the design is launching next week.

But, we're not just putting a pretty face on GO. We plan on implementing a number of new features over the next few weeks. The most important being User Blogs! You, our esteemed community, will be able to blog on your own, from GO. We might even pick some of your articles for the main blog and promote them.

As well, we plan on restructuring a number of things, some as simple as the navigation, and some of them more complex. We are really excited about the redesign and hope you are too. It's gonna be great.

I also wanted to introduce myself. My name's Noel Jackson and I'm the new Lead Designer at GO. I'll be handling all the beautification and organization of the site. I think we've got a great community here and I think this redesign is going to really enable you to start communicating with us and yourselves even more.
